Hi,
Does anyone know anything about the hotel at Plantation Resort?
We booked the villas last October but our rep (RCI) made a mess of our booking and has given us a hotel unit and we don%26#39;t have any information on it. If not suitable we may cancel.
Plantation Resort-Hotel
We stayed there two summers ago and really enjoyed ourselves. We were in a hotel unit also which had a king size bed, a pull out sleeper sofa, small table, small ';kitchen'; - microwave, 2 burners, sink, refrigerator. It was spacious enough for my husband and I and our two children (ages 6 and 9). The only thing we missed was having a patio/porch to sit outside on to enjoy our coffee in the morning. The unit seemed was well kept, and this is a newer section of the resort. The location was beautiful with palmento palm trees lining the street. The pools were also very nice with a swimming pool on one side of the road, and a kiddie pool area with a wonderful lazy river on the other side (we spent many late afternoons going back and forth between the two pools). We drove to the beach and parked at the Surfside Pier, although there is a shuttle available from the resort, we liked the freedom to come and go as we pleased and never had trouble finding a spot to park (although it is metered parking). At the pier there are some good restaurants and the beach is beautiful. Hope you have a great time there!

I should clarify that we stayed in the Presidential Villas section of the resort. Our ';hotel'; unit was the lock-out of the 2 bedroom unit next door.
Hi,Thank you for this information! You have made us feel a lot better about our accomodation although we would have liked a porch or deck area to have our morning coffee too! We will also be hiring a car so that we can explore the area.Coming from the frozen north (Scotland)at least we will be guarateed sunshine.
Many thanks!
