Hilton Head Nightlife
What a handy list to have when visiting Hilton Head. After golfing, we are always looking for a fun night out with music and dancing and sometimes its hard to find. Now we can check your website and plan ahead. Thanks!
Hilton Head Nightlife
What do you know about the Simpson Brothers? They are at the XO lounge at the Hilton next week. I have friends coming in and hoped to get them to hear Deas Guyz, but they are only at the Jazz Corner Sunday night next week (except for tomorrow at the wingfest), which doesn%26#39;t work for their schedule. I%26#39;m looking for another band to take them. Any suggestions? We are all retirees, but like a variety of music.
Hey there!
Simpson Brothers are great and the XO lounge (if ya havent been there yet) is all redone and its SUCH a great venue. The Simpson Brothers definitley draw an older crowd so you wont see a bunch of early 20-somethings shootin jeagermeister and drinkin bud heavies and yellin out spring break stories. LOL. I feel as tho you will enjoy it there. Another option is The Electric Piano Bar (EP) Fri and Sat night they have Dana Ashworth (dueling pianist) who is a HUUUGE crowd favorite. Plays all Genres of music, alot of comedy and audience participation. Its very high energy. Music starts at 9:30 and fills up fast.
On another note, WiseGuys is a new wine bar next to Frankie Bones, that is always a good happy hour start with great cocktails and small ';tapas'; plates.
any route ya take, have a great time!
Thanks. Haven%26#39;t been to XO in about a year. Maybe we%26#39;ll try it.
bears: Actually, I don%26#39;t think the XO Lounge has even been open a year. We were there last March Break 2008 and everything was just under construction.
Anyway, we just spent a week on the island, Mar 7-14 and we stayed at the Hilton Oceanfront on March 6th, the night prior to our villa check-in.
We took our friends to the XO Lounge on a weeknight to see the Simpson Brothers and have some drinks. FAB-U-LOUS! The Simpson Brothers are perfect for the ';over 40'; crowd, which are proudly part of. They play an great array of tunes. It%26#39;s like Barry White meets a country or blues star. Very relaxing. The lounge is beautiful, not rowdy. Just sit back in the comfy chairs (we sat in the back raised section). Highly recommended. After you have a drink there, I would order a drink ';to go'; and sit outside by either the gas fireplace with comfy lounge chairs or go by the large gas firepit and sit in the Carolina rockers. We didn%26#39;t order a drink to go, (and regrettted it) but sat by the rockers, then did a small beach stroll. An evening to remember, my friends!
Hope this helps,
D in Muskoka.
PS: I live in a gorgeous area, so I%26#39;m pretty hard to please, but you won%26#39;t regret a night out at the HIlton Oceanfront.
