Construction around Coligny Plaza (cont.)

I decided to start a new thread, as my question was not quite the same as the last traveler.

Is parking for the beach affected by the road construction near Coligny Plaza? If so, where is the recommended parking?

Our daughter wants to drive to the public beach there. Knowing that parking is taken quite early in the day, any reduction in spaces will make it harder to find a space.
