Plantation Resort - Surfside Beach

Does anyone have any info on this resort? We would also like suggestions on reasonable golf in the area? We will be down for a mth in March and plan to golf quite a lot.

Thanks willowbrook

It%26#39;s a nice resort with nice amenities. I%26#39;ve stayed in Presidential Villas a few times, the last being April. The villa looked brand new. Great Golf in the area includes Caledonia, TPC, True Blue, World Tour....and a little cheper but nice...Heritage, Man O War, MB National, Myrtlewood and Wild Wing, Pawleys Plantation, Pine Lakes, Witch, Wizard...

Any idea on how this resort is for kids and what else may be in the area for kids to do??? Specifically something in the south end as we are in Myrtle beach the week after to explore that area.

Also, how far is Muriels Inlet, I hear that a lot of the good restaurants (especially seafood) are up that way.

The two pools at the resort are great. One is a normal pool, the other is a kiddie pool area with a wonderful lazy river. We were there two years ago with our children ages 6 and 9. They loved the pools. Surfside pier area is nice. Huntington State Park (south on 17) has a castle that we went to hear ghost stories at and then explored the castle with flashlights. There are also alligators to see in the inlet at the park. Myrtle Beach State Park has activities for children... we never made it to any of them, but they looked good. We spent most of our time at the beach at the Surfside Pier.

They have excellent amenities for kids. There is a very nice lazy river with interactive water park, a very nice outdoor pool, a very nice indoor pool and a very nice kidde outdoor pool. That have a snack bar and very nice game room with many games inc. pool, ping pong, arcade games, air hockey, etc. They have a dance and aerobics room, saunas and steam rooms, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, free WIFI hotspots and resort WIFI (~$25/week), they have a nice pool side grill and free daily beach shuttles during the summer months(3-4 mini-buses). They have kids games, bowling, shirt painting etc. during the week if you want to participate. Murrels Inlet is a short 10 minute drive....excellent seafood. Surfside Beach has a nice water part, par 3 and mini golf, Legends in Concert and much more nearby.
