Hilton Head Rentals and Golf

I recieved something in the mail from these people. Their website is www.hiltonheadvacation.com.

I did a forum search but didn%26#39;t see anything recent.

Is this a reputable agency for a condo rental?

Oh good. I looked at their website, and they have some nice-looking rentals.

FYI, while I don%26#39;t know anything about the outfit you mentioned, another good alternative to arrange a golf and condo combination is is Hilton Head Golf Vacations (http://www.hhigolfvacations.com/). I%26#39;ve used them for the last several years to book our annual guys golf outing and Chris (the owner) is a great guy and very knowledgable about the island and the golf courses. I think he%26#39;s indedendant from any rental agency so he%26#39;s free to recommend the best solution for your needs. Hope that helps.

I have no interest in golf whatsoever. We don%26#39;t play golf. I just thought they had some nice vacation rentals.

HHR%26amp;G is a reputable rental agency, but they charge a higher fee than you could get if you rented directly from the owner through www.vrbo.com or www.homeaway.com

Thanks, bearsfan. Do you think it is advisable to rent directly from the owner? I%26#39;m always afraid of getting ripped off.

I find that it is best to use an agency, if it%26#39;s the first time you are renting on the island.

As you get more knowledgeable about our resorts, and settle on an area you find desirable, then you can find better deals using the rent by owner sites.

Remember when renting direct '; Your Mileage may vary';. Not all owners take care of their units. You can rent something you will be dissatisfied with. When you rent privately you have no alternative. If you rent through an agency they have the ability to move you to another property.

When I owned at the SeaCrest, I would occasionally get renters sent by my agent, who had originally rented a Breakers, and were upset when they saw what a typical Breakers unit was like.

Thanks Stan.
