Bike Week Woes

My wife and I are planning a trip to Myrtle in May. We will be arriving the day after bike week ends this year, May 18. Do the crowds usually leave when it ends or are there folks that hang around for a few days? I%26#39;m hoping that since we are going during the week, and it being pre-season, there wont be a lot of people there. But I was just a little concerned when I saw that bike week ended the day before we would get there.

MB may have tried to cancel bike week but don%26#39;t be fooled into thinking there will be no bikers here. That being said 99% of them leave on the last day, either that Sunday or Monday. I wouldn%26#39;t concern yourself with any of the bikers, they%26#39;ll be going the other way. Be more concerned about the bikers that will be coming in on Wednesday and Thursday.

Well Bike Week may not be directly in MB, but it will be all around it.

MBGal, what do you mean look out for the bikers coming in Wednesday and Thursday? We will be there the 17th-21. Are there more events the following weekend?

If you%26#39;re leaving on the 21st you%26#39;ll be fine. There is another more rowdy bike rally that weekend but it doesn%26#39;t really start getting crowded until Friday. Where are you staying?

Oh, I hadn%26#39;t heard about the other rally. Thanks for the heads up even if it wont be that crowded.

As for lodging, we haven%26#39;t booked yet but I found a good deal at Sandy Beach Resort.
