Towers on the Grove...no pools yet

I was all excited about my trip and had already been charged for 2 nights. When I called to ask a few more ?%26#39;s, it came out there was a very good chance the pools would not be done when we arrived early April. This is AFTER the girl I talked with the first time told me they were done NOW! Swimming is important to us! I had been looking forward to the newness of TOTG, but we are probably changing to Avista. BOO!

I will reply to my own post! I should be in bed and my mind is tired but we may just stay at TOTG afterall. We can use pools at Avista...a bit of a pain, but the reviews for it were so so and I really had my heart set on TOTG!

Here is the condo sales site. Unless the pics are computer enhanced it looks like the pools are up and running. Never know if you can trust pictures anymore.

Think it%26#39;s the second shot of the building. Tower is behind the parking building. If you were standing where the photographer was, you would be standing in the general area of groceries and other shops.

Thanks, Pop! I had seen the pics AND was told they were in only to be told they are projected to be in by early April. We all know how often building gets delayed!

What a bummer, is Avista next door? Here%26#39;s hoping the pools will be open for you and your girls.

Avista is 1/2 a mile south. Not sure why but I am not crazy about it. Guess I am still not happy about being lied to by the reservation clerk!

I think those maybe grounds for a cancelation. So no pools on their property are open yet?

Yes, sister hotels at a little higher rate. Not sure why I don%26#39;t feel content with that . Just really wanted brand new if I was going to be that far out of town. I am in the process of fighting the $30 cancellation fee as I was lied to!

I am planning on staying at TOTG in early May and hope that the pools are in. We had scheduled at the Prince Resort for mid May, but realized it was biker week so cancelled and had to rebook somewhere else. I hope TOTG is completed by the time we get there if not that would be a huge disappointment.

TOG is in the Cherry Grove section and Avista is in Ocean Drive....1.4 miles apart.

I should have updated. I was NOT charged the cancellation fee which pleased me. I would have been even happier to get to stay at TOTG with its pools done!
