Hi. We are coming in next week and trying to decide between Anchorage villa or the Marriot. Can someone give any recommendations on either? We will have teenage kids in the group. They love riding their bikes, visiting over at the Disney resort, etc,...but does the Marriot have more for them to do there? Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Oh, and we also have looked at an Inverness Villa...anyone stayed there or have any helpful information. We really love Shelter Cove because we feel comfortable letting the kids ride their bikes at night there , which they love to do . And we love eating at San Miguel%26#39;s and enjoying the entertainment there. That%26#39;s why we kind of limited it down to these two. Thank you
Shelter Cove: Anchorage or Marriot Harbour Point
Our situations sound familiar, we have been staying at Marriot in Shelter Cove, Sunset Pointe for the past few years using family timeshare we enjoy it there for many of the same reasons you mentioned. This year we are coming to HH twice, the week of April 18th and October 3rd, we are using the timeshare at Sunset Point in October and because we like Shelter Cove so much have rented a Villa at Anchorage for our April stay. Marriott has activities during the week for all age groups usually with other Marriott resorts, our teens have done the Kyack trip with Marriott from the Shelter Cove Marina, used the pool, outside chess board, rented bikes and spent time just hanging out. We have taken the dolphin tour with Outside Hilton Head at Shelter Cove and the men have gone deep sea fishing while the ladies have biked to the beach. If you do stay at Anchorage would be interested in your comments at the end of the week. We are also booked on a sunset sail with Schooner Welcome in April we sailed with them last fall and really enjoyed it in spite of the rainy night.
Shelter Cove: Anchorage or Marriot Harbour Point
Hi there. I am so glad I got someone to respond. We are leaning towards the Marriott because I just think we will love the view more and I love to have my morning coffee while the sun is coming up / sunset. BUT, if we do stay at Anchorage, I will most certainly tell you our thoughts! Since you have stayed at the Marriott before maybe you can answer this : we are getting the week (next week) for $600 ...is that a GREAT deal or just so-so. And does the complex have their own shuttle for the beach and where is their beach access? Do they take you to the Marriott at Palmetto Dunes? And can we go there and use the amenities there? Thanks!!
The only reason we rented at Anchorage is because when I was checking the pricing for Marriott earlier this winter, it was $200 per night and we were able to get Anchorage for the price you are getting Marriott for, we had tried booking a getaway instead of the timeshare and there was nothing available and we were afraid nothing would come up so we booked the Anchorage. Marriott will give you a parking pass for Palmetto Dunes to park at the Beach House,as far as I know you cannot use the facilities at the Marriott at the beach but it doesn%26#39;t hurt to ask when you check in. Although Marriott Shelter Cove is an older resort we enjoy it because Shelter Cove is so peaceful and great views of the creek morning and night. We did not decide to book this trip until the beginning of the winter so airfares are high and we are driving this time. They have many activities during the week the onsite bike rental has been $25 per person for the week the last time we were there in October. There are 2 pools the main pool is behind the registration building and a smaller quieter pool behind the Sunset Pointe building, hope this helps i will be happy to answer more questions if you have them
