Inexpensive Hotel Suggestions

Our family will be staying at the Sea Crest in mid July. My son will be coming in for a few days but would like to stay at a separate hotel. He would like it to be close by but inexpensive (under $120)so the Holiday Inn Oceanfront is out. Away from the beach is OK since he will be spending time with us. Any suggestions?

There is a Red Roof, Days Inn and Motel 6 all near Shelter Cove area.

Perk: All of those suggested are all too far away. I would strongly suggest he try hotwire.com. Not too sure how much will be available in July, but it%26#39;s worth a try. If he can get a deal on a four star resort it will either be the Crowne Plaza in Shipyard Plantation (closest to you), the Hilton Oceanfront in Palmetto Dunes, next closest, or the Westin Resort in Port Royal, the furthest.

If you give me your dates, I will try and see what comes up. Usually, you get the most reduced rates closer to your check-in.

We just stayed at the Hilton Oceanfront on March 6th for an amazing $59 a night. He could also try putting a bid on Priceline for a ';resort'; which will be one of the above, or a regular hotel, but who knows what he will end up with.

Hope this helps,

I had a bad experience at Motel 6 several years ago. I%26#39;ll never go near that one again.

Friends of ours say Red Roof Inn is fine.

Beachwalk Hotel is walking distance to Sea Crest. They are currently showing a $99 nightly rate for July 14-16.

Good luck!

The comfort inn is right across the street from the Holiday Inn, it%26#39;s probably below 120.

Perk: check your tripadvisor messages. I have sent you a message with the icons that betterbidding uses for the Hilton Head hotels offered on Hotwire.

Hope this helps,

D...please send the same information to me on how to get a better rate on hotwire or priceline. Thanks!

SCRAPHAPPTY: I think you misunderstood the post. Betterbidding.com is a site that shows what hotels hotwire and priceline use. You cannot get a better rate by going on that site. I was merely telling Perk that if you go on betterbidding, you can usually figure out what hotel you are getting through hotwire.
