Surf lessons for teens and biking

1) We will be staying at Palmetto Dunes for the week before Memorial Day. Two years ago my 13 year old sons took a 2 hr surfing lesson from a nice fellow who worked for the Palmetto Dunes Outfitters.

This year we will be returning with either three or four 15 yr old teenagers (yes, we are crazy). They are all athletes and good swimmers and want to try surfing again. Since this is before the ';season'; does anyone know someone who could give these guys a lesson or two (and they will have to supply the boards)?

2) We are renting a Huntington Villa. Can you drive from Palmetto Dunes to Coligny Plaza without going out the main Palmetto Dunes gate on Highway 278? Can you ride bikes there? I can%26#39;t tell from the online maps whether there is a way to cross Shipyard Plantation.

1. - I%26#39;m not sure, but the PD Outfitters should still supply the boards and lessons.

2. - You do need to go to 278 to drive to Coligny. There is a bike path which goes there. You can off set SeaPines Circle, by using New Orleans Road. The Pope Avenue bike paths are new and interesting.

finally you can also bike the Beach.
