cosmos, drinks, views, etc.

heading to charleston monday, 3/23 w/girlfriends; two questions; in dining out, which restaurant is most highly recommended for food - hanks, tristans or hymans and second, to have cocktails, possibly with view but definitely good atmosphere in historic district, any recommendations; we are all mid-age but young at heart!!!

cosmos, drinks, views, etc.

The rooftop bar at the Market Pavillion Hotel is a GREAT way to start off the evening!

Skip Hyman%26#39;s.

Hank%26#39;s is our favorite for seafood. Go early (they open at 5:30 pm) if you want quiet, private table, without a wait. Or dine at the communal table, or the bar.

Don%26#39;t know about Tristan%26#39;s.

I%26#39;ll second both the recommendation of the rooftop bar at the Market Pavilion and the recommendation of Hank%26#39;s out of the three restaurants you have listed.

Fleet Landing has great views and good cocktails. It%26#39;s right on the water (Cooper River) basically at the foot of Market Street.

thanks so much for the advice - we will be there when the sun is setting for sure

was leaning towards hanks so will keep our reservation; thanks so much for the input - it%26#39;s really appreciated; we%26#39;ll be eating there in 24 hrs.!

my gut feeling was hank%26#39;s and now you reinforced it; will be dining there in about 24 hrs. and cannot wait; ditto for the market pavillion for drinks; did not know about that and appreciate your advice

thanks for your info; now have two recommendations, so i guess we%26#39;ll just have to have a few cocktails; also did not know about fleet landing; sounds like a beautiful spot on cooper river;

Here%26#39;s Fleet%26#39;s website: http://www.fleetlanding.net/

thanks for the link - looks great and what a view!
