Hi all , We are going to be in Charleston for a long Weekend wedding(Isle of Palms ) and are going to stay our last night and day on Market Street . It is also our 29th Anniversary and we would like to have a nice Seafood Dinner . Nice means good food ,sometimes that doesn%26#39;t mean the priciest restaurant but that isn%26#39;t a concern . We would rather have the best meal all the fancy trapping are nice but not necessary . Where would The locals go for a good meal and glass of wine ? Thats the kind of place we are looking for .We will ask when we get there but it%26#39;s nice to get as many opinions as possible
Another question would be where would we go for so great Trop-rock Music ?
We have one day and one night and I want to fill it , I am so looking forward to this trip . I have wanted to see So. Carolina for a long time .
Thanks
Seafood Restaurant
The best-loved seafood place is Hank%26#39;s. A romantic place that does southern dishes that feature seafood is 82 Queen.
Happy Anniversary and welcome!
Seafood Restaurant
I hope you have a great time. Culturehound always makes good suggestions. When we go downtown we go to Sermet%26#39;s or Coast.
Please tell me what trop-rock music is! I have never heard of it, lol!

It%26#39;s ';beach music';. Know any place for South Carolina shag?
Well shoot, beach music I know. I learned to shag at the Pad in 1965.
Don%26#39;t they have shaggin%26#39; on the pier at Folly? And Buddi-ro%26#39;s at IOP plays beach music too.
Buddy-ro%26#39;s on IOP is no longer there. Don%26#39;t know what is to fill that spot.
I too know all about beach music but had never heard of Trop-rock!!
Coast is great. Also there is a somewhat new restaurant downtown called Muse that is very good. In an old historic house. Not strickly seafood tho, but excellent. I love it.
Here is the ';trop-rock'; website.

They list beach bars, but none for South Carolina. Come on, guys. We must have something!
