Vacation Budgets..

We%26#39;ve never really been on a trip by ourselves, its just the two of us. So I%26#39;m trying to figure out a budget for two 22 year olds staying May 12-16. Our room total is about $450, so including the room total I%26#39;m guessing we%26#39;ll need about $1000 each. About $550 each, $1100 total, over 4 days with eating out once a day, and minimal shopping. Anyone have any opinions or suggestions?

WOW! Pretty generous amount of money with eating out only once a day and limited shopping! I am a single MOm with 2 children., Our 4 night trip budget:

Hotel $250

Gas $100

Eating out 2 times a day ( nothing fancy) and snacks $300

No shopping except maybe a magnet

Total $650

I guess it is generous! I just want to have more than enough (just in case!). I%26#39;m also figuring in cocktails and cab rides if need be, which can get pretty expensive. :) Guess I%26#39;m set, then.

Gotcha! I don%26#39;t drink so not aware of costs involved but your budget should be plenty:-)

$1,100 is a lot. But you stated you will be drinking which can add up pretty quickly.

If you don%26#39;t go to any shows, theaters, or attractions, that is definitely too much. If your room is $450.00 you will probably spend $1,000 total for both of you including a little extra.

You should be able to have a really nice vacation with that amount %26amp; anything left over is just a bonus!
