Will be coming to Garden City this Saturday. Will the traffic be heavy on 501 coming into Myrtle Beach from I-95? Or is it too early in the season?
If it is bumper to bumper, is 521 into Georgetown, then north on 17 an option? Or will that be just as busy? We would rather take another route and keep moving, than sit in traffic.
Thanks. Hoping for warm weather, but it doesn鈥檛 look too promising鈥?/p>
Traffic on Saturday?
I was in your neck of woods over weekend, went to new indoor football game. Anyway, traffic should not be too bad this weekend, nothing like summer traffic. I hope you don%26#39;t go thru Florence on 501 and instead go 95N to beach exit 168 (?). Much quicker
Traffic on Saturday?
thanks for the reply and reminder of the bypass. I assume 501 all the way into town is still the best way to go? (Understand you would go N on the highway or 90, and we would go S on 17 bypass.)
They sure didn%26#39;t advertise the indoor football game very much here. You would think they should, to compete with the NCAA BB games.
If you are going North on I95, take exit 170 to the right. After 5 miles, at a stop light , turn left on 376 which becomes 501. When you go 3 miles past Conway, turn right on 544, that will dead end into 17 just North of Surfside, Garden City is 4 miles south. If you have not driven from Georgetown to MB, it is a nice drive and not crowded this time of year and Georgetown is definitely worth a day trip to enjoy the river walk etc.
Traffic should not be bad at all this time of year. When we come in July we take 501 to 544 and arrive before 12pm and have little to no traffic problems. If there is a back then it is usualy at the end of 544 where all of the campers and at the light.
