Plantations

We are two adults 30%26#39;s and 60%26#39;s mom and daughter. We would like to go to one or two plantations. Not sure which to choose.

Boone Hall, Middleton Place or Magnolia Plantation

We will only be in Charleston 3.5 days.

I have heard that the she crab soup at Middleton Place is great.

Are they similar in terms of garden, history, arts and overall amazement?

This is our first time to Charleston and are also going to Savannah for 3 days.

Plantations

My first choice is Middleton Place. Each one has its own personality but none compare with Middleton for authenicity and beauty. If you have time for two, my second choice (not on your list) would be Drayton Hall. It is very near Middleton Place and does not take more than about an hour. Be sure to do the house tour at Middleton Place.
